Mgr, Hospital Accounting - Sign-On Incentive Offered
(Full-Time, Day Shift, 40 Hours)
Starting Pay $ to $ annual salary (may be higher commensurate with experience).
A $5,000 one-time sign‑on bonus is available to external candidates only in exchange for a two year employment commitment.
Job Summary- Plans, directs and manages the administration and maintenance of the hospital accounting function.
- Implements, monitors and coordinates accounting practices to ensure accurate and reliable data and internal control procedures to safeguard assets.
- Designs accounting systems to meet management and regulatory requirements.
- Seeing, hearing, speaking, finger dexterity.
- Manual material handling: occasional lift waist to shoulder 0-5 lbs; carry 0-5 lbs.
- Non‑manual: occasional stand, stoop/bend, climb stairs/ladder, reach shoulder/above head; frequent walk; constant sit; gripping.
Not substantially subjected to adverse conditions.
Minimum QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
Certification and Licensure: Certified Public Accountant license (active, inactive, expired) or a Master’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting may substitute.
Experience: Five years in accounting, two years in public accounting; two years in key leadership or supervisory roles; extensive knowledge of GAAP and state/federal regulations, tax laws, and regulatory environment; ability to identify and resolve accounting and internal control issues; strong familiarity with system functionality and capabilities; strong interpersonal skills; excellent research skills.
