We are looking to add a Senior Accountant to the Honolulu Team of Full-Time Engagement Professionals. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of non-profit accounting, grant-related cost tracking, and a proven ability to keep monthly reporting and close processes on schedule. Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review grant and program cost reports to support compliant, timely financial submissions.

- Reconcile general ledger activity and produce accurate monthly and year-end financial statements using Acumatica.

- Partner with HR and internal stakeholders to support payroll-related accounting entries and ensure processing accuracy.

- Lead key month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.

- Investigate accounting system issues and recommend practical improvements that increase efficiency and reporting reliability.

- Monitor financial data for completeness and accuracy, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.

- Support audit-related requests by organizing documentation and responding to financial statement review needs.

Requirements - 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership-level responsibility in accounting operations.

- Prior experience working as an Accounting Manager or in a comparable senior-level accounting role.

- Strong background in month-end close, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, and journal entry preparation.

- Hands-on proficiency with Acumatica and advanced Excel capabilities.

- Working knowledge of non-profit accounting practices, including grant and program cost reporting requirements.

- Experience supporting financial statement audits and maintaining accurate supporting documentation.

- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with availability to start on an immediate interim basis.
