RESPONSIBILITIES I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under the general direction of the Business Services Manager, responsible for submitting bills, collecting monies due for services rendered. Responsible for the complete, accurate and timely processing of accounts payable. Responsible for posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking,
  • Constant: sitting, reaching above, at and below shoulders; repetitive arm/hand motion and frequent gripping of objects.
  • Frequent: stooping/bending, and twisting body.
  • Occasional: standing, walking.
  • Infrequent: lifting/carrying weight up to 35 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 3.5 pounds of force.
III. TYPICAL

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Not subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of Business or Secretarial school or equivalent college business degree.
B.

EXPERIENCE:
  • One (1) year experience in accounts payable and/or one (1) year billing/collections experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Communicates effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Ability to operate office equipment including computer, calculator, copier, fax, and shredder.
  • Proficient in use of a personal computer and word-processing/spreadsheet.
  • Ability to produce spreadsheets and correspondence using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with Allscripts computer software.
