The Accounting Administrative Assistant is a full-time, on‑site role based in the Honolulu Metropolitan Area. This role supports the accounting and sales team by processing invoices, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining accurate financial records. Day‑to‑day tasks include data entry into accounting software, reconciling transactions, preparing basic financial reports, and organizing documentation for audits and internal reviews. The Accounting Administrative Assistant also handles general administrative duties such as filing, answering phone calls, and coordinating communications between departments.
The role requires consistent attention to detail, adherence to company policies, and collaboration with colleagues to ensure smooth office and accounting operations.
- Strong Administrative Assistance skills, including organizing records, managing Excel spreadsheets, and handling office communications.
- Foundational Accounting and Finance knowledge, with experience supporting accounts payable/receivable and basic reconciliation tasks.
- Proficiency with Accounting Software and related systems, including accurate data entry and report generation.
- Experience with Invoicing, including preparing, processing, and tracking invoices with close attention to detail.
- Relevant experience in an office or accounting support role; experience in mining, metals, or industrial sectors is a plus.
- Strong numerical aptitude, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and follow established procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in accounting or office administration is beneficial.
