Payroll Specialist

Position Overview

• Ensures the integrity of the weekly payroll process
• Ensures all weekly payroll data is complete and accurate prior to processing
• Safeguards sensitive employee records and makes necessary updates/changes to the employee records
• Receives vendor invoices, ensuring they are properly approved
• Enters the invoices into the accounting records
• Monitors to ensure vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits

• Process weekly payroll accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all data is complete and compliant with company policies
• Administer all Health and Benefit programs:
  Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Supplementa policies (BCBS and Mutual of Omaha)
• Conduct weekly payroll for salary, hourly, and commission-based employee
• Manage payroll deductions and with holdings
• Compliance with Benefit plans, keeping up to date with federal and state regulations.
• Serve as primary contact and liaison for plan vendors, third-party administrators, and benefit brokers.
• Work with departments managers, providing payroll reports, trends, and training

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Proven experience in payroll administration and accounts payable functions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members
• Knowledge of payroll functions and procedures (AD Hoc reporting)
• Intermediate Excel Skills (vlookups, etc)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.81 - $25.06 per hour
