We are looking to add a Staff Accountant to the Honolulu Team of Full-Time Engagement Professionals. Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and help maintain accurate accounts payable records.

- Monitor incoming payments, apply cash receipts, and support accounts receivable activities to ensure timely account reconciliation.

- Prepare journal entries, including accruals and other adjustments, with clear documentation and proper ledger coding.

- Reconcile bank activity and balance sheet accounts regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve variances promptly.

- Assist with month-end close tasks by reviewing account activity, organizing schedules, and supporting deadlines for financial reporting.

- Maintain the general ledger by recording financial transactions accurately and ensuring account balances are properly supported.

- Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and related schedules by compiling data and validating completeness.

- Use Oracle People Soft and Microsoft Excel to analyze transactions, track reconciliations, and produce accounting reports as needed.

Requirements - Demonstrated experience in staff accounting or a similar accounting support role.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.

- Hands-on ability to prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries with accuracy.

- Experience performing bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations.

- Familiarity with month-end close activities and financial statement support.

- Proficiency with Oracle People Soft, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting systems.

- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
