Commercial Lines Underwriting Support Associate (II or III)

Honolulu, HI. Temp-to-Hire Opportunity. Pay: $16.00/hr (Associate II) | $18.00/hr (Associate III).

About the Opportunity

Bishop & Company is seeking a Commercial Lines Underwriting Support Associate to provide critical administrative and clerical support to underwriting and operations teams. This role is ideal for someone detail‑oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a structured, fast‑paced environment.

Schedule & Work Details
  • Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (30‑minute lunch; hours may vary)
  • In‑person role in Honolulu
  • Parking not provided (public parking available near Blaisdell – approx. $8/day)
  • Interviews will be conducted in person
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clerical support for underwriting processes, including:
    • Submissions
    • Renewals
    • Agent of Record (AOR) requests
  • Review submissions for clearance and update Salesforce records
  • Process and manage AOR requests per company procedures
  • Support Premium Audit processes (printing, assembling, system updates, distribution)
  • Review renewal instructions and distribute to appropriate teams
  • Prepare and update policy documents as requested
  • Scan and organize documents into appropriate systems
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Typing speed of 35+ WPM
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team‑oriented with a positive, professional attitude
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
Experience Requirements Associate II:
  • Minimum 1 year of general office experience
Associate III:
  • Minimum 2+ years of general office experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance experience
Additional Information
  • Occasional overtime may be required
