Overview
This posting is for Office Assistant III positions at the specified location. Applications are also being accepted for Office Assistant II if needed.
Salary Range- Office Assistant II (SR‑06): $3,141.00 per month
- Office Assistant III (SR‑08): $3,266.00 per month
- Create, edit, print, store, retrieve, and delete documents using a computer and word processing or other software.
- Prepare, review, and process forms, records, reports, applications, and other documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify records and forms for completeness and accuracy, evaluating conformance with established requirements.
- Search paper and electronic files, extract, compile, and summarize information, and prepare periodic and special reports.
- Compose routine correspondence and letters of acknowledgement.
- Set up and maintain paper and electronic files and revise filing systems as necessary.
- Provide general information and resolve complaints in person or by phone, explaining rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Determine the need for and/or make routine orders for necessary supplies, materials, or items.
- Make arrangements for travel, equipment maintenance, telephone service, and other similar matters.
- Provide training, guidance, and supervisory review for clerical subordinates at the Office Assistant II level.

Total Experience ≥ 0.5 years for Office Assistant II, ≥ 1.5 years for Office Assistant III - Keyboarding/Computer Skill: 40 net words per minute required for Office Assistant II and higher levels; proficiency with computers and word processing or other software applications required.
- Substitutions Allowed:
- High school diploma or equivalent may substitute for basic experience.
- Excess clerical experience may substitute for basic experience.
- Completion of a full‑time clerical or business technology curriculum at an accredited community college, business or technical school may substitute for clerical experience (15 semester credits, 6 months experience, up to 2 years).
- Completion of a baccalaureate program at an accredited college or university may substitute for clerical experience (15 semester credits, 6 months experience, up to 2 years).

The required years of experience must demonstrate the scope and responsibility necessary to perform the duties of the position. - Lift and Carry: Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds unassisted.
