- You will serve as the Pacific Fleet's Records Manager and Privacy Officer.
- You will oversee the Pacific Fleet’s Information and Records Management programs, covering both mission-related and administrative records in paper and electronic formats.
- You will develop guidance for creating, capturing, sharing, reusing, and protecting Privacy Act (PA) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) assets.
- You will develop strategies, identify new processes, and recommend alternatives to ensure full support for all DoN and DoW Information Management/Privacy Act Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Record Management policies.
- You will work with the COMPACFLT Command Information Officer (CIO) to integrate records management into the COMPACFLT enterprise architecture.

- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 431, proficiency level Intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in Records Management (RM) and Privacy Act (PA) compliance within a federal or military organization; oversee physical and electronic records life cycles, establishing safeguards for Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and drafting organizational policy;
knowledge of governing federal and Navy mandates for records management and privacy.

Additional informationThis position is subject to working an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
