Responsibilities
Perform day‑to‑day operations of the parking facility, which includes a three level garage and a surface area lot. Fees are charged and collected via an automated system.
Work an assigned shift and assist patrons as needed to enter, park, and exit the facility.
Verbal interactions with guests in a clear and concise manner, explaining processes and procedures, location of machines, how to make payment, or resolving concerns; refers complex issues to the manager on‑duty.
Post inter‑office communications and prepare for peak periods by knowing available parking stalls or redirecting flow to other areas or locations.
Cooperate with law enforcement and security personnel for the benefit of patrons and their property.
Provide visual oversight of operations by making rounds and recommend improvements in operations based on factual data.
Complete various operational reports such as reports on the performance of equipment and the collection and accounting of fees for services provided.
Prepare cash deposits and daily activity reports; validate data based on military and civilian rank and standing, verify associated data, identify and correct discrepancies, collate information and reports prior to forwarding to the proper person or office ensuring protection of sensitive information.
Operate the fee computer and process parking tickets according to proper fee schedule and verification of .
Execute closing procedures, send information to designated individuals and clear computers at designated times.
Order supplies and equipment while ensuring acceptable levels of stock and anticipating needs; maintain inventory and key controls during the assigned shift.
Prepare stalls for cleaning and place traffic cones.
Enforce rules, policies and internal controls of the facility.
Inspect equipment to ensure proper operation, perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting of the automated equipment as required in accordance with manufacturer specifications and authority granted by management.
Actuate parking equipment using key or code, monitor and maintain blank ticket supply in gates, monitor receipt supply, and monitor change and receipt supply in pay stations.
Maintain database and accurate expiration dates.
Accept payments for monthly parking fees and renewals, process refunds and issue receipts.
Conditions of Employment- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required upon appointment.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- Satisfactory completion of employment verification (E‑Verify) check.
- One year probationary period may be required.
- A physical examination is required.
- Must obtain a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Must work weekdays, weekends, holidays and various hours of the day and week when required.
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations.
- Must have experience in MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Must be able to drive and maneuver a motorized cart.

Area of Consideration- This job is open to candidates who live in the commuting area (the Island of Oahu). If the area of consideration is expanded, all candidates will be considered.

- This job is part of a pay‑banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
- Non‑foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
