Primary PurposeTo expand and enhance the company's top line through diligent relationship building and maintenance with prospective clients across an area; to identify and address prospective and existing client opportunities for marketing the company's programs; and to ensure sales goals, objectives and profit margins are met.
Key Responsibilities- Identifies, develops and maintains internal and external relationships/partnerships.
- Provides leadership and direction for the business development team.
- Maintains accountability for regional growth and revenue objectives.
- Drives alignment with the company's sales strategy and organizational goals.
- Establishes and monitors key performance indicators and business results.
- Develops and maintains relationships with prospective clients and strategic partners.
- Facilitates development of new partnerships and participates in implementation to ensure smooth transition of new client programs.
- Develops detailed knowledge of individual prospect operations targeting specific needs that may be opportunities for marketing company programs.
- Ensures the identification of expertise required addressing individual prospect requirements; identifies resources for prospect solicitation and service teams.
- Utilizes appropriate national resources to facilitate responses and pricing for RFPs, proposals, and presentations.
- Manages design of service programs ensuring client need fulfillment.
- Develops and implements an annual sales and service plan including identification of potential client prospects, their needs, and the methodology of presenting company’s ability to fulfill those needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Travels as required.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required; major in Business Administration, Finance or Risk Management preferred.
- Licenses as required. Possession of, or progress towards, CPCU and/or ARM designation required.
- Ten (10) years of relationship building in the claims management or risk management area or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
- Analytical and interpretive skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies.

Note:
Credit security clearance, confirmed via a background credit check, is required for this position.
As required by law, Sedgwick provides an employee pay range for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is $150,000 - $160,000.
