Full job description:
Reporting to the Director of Advancement and Executive Director of the UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate, this position provides broad and comprehensive project management of the Ziman Center's development (fundraising) activities and undergraduate student programs.

Salary & Compensation

UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications
  • Customer Service:
    Demonstrated skill in providing quality customer service in high traffic environments. (Required)
  • Schedule:

    Occasional overtime, including evenings and weekends, is required. Ability to work some evenings and weekends and at remote locations. (Required)
  • Interpersonal

    Skills:

    Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to interact in an appropriate professional manner with persons of various ages and social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds. (Required)
  • Analytical

    Skills:

    Demonstrated high level of analytical and creative problem‑solving skills, highly efficient and organized. (Required)
  • Academic Background:
    Experience interfacing with university‑level students and general student affairs. (Preferred)
  • CRM:
    General knowledge and familiarity with constituent database systems and University CRM. (Preferred)
  • Excellent Writing and Editing:
    Skills to compose and proof professional‑level copy for letters, proposals, briefings, invitations, announcements, website, as assigned. (Required)
  • Proven Interpersonal

    Skills:

    Effectively interact with the Center's various constituents, including corporations, industry professionals, faculty, students, and university administrators. (Required)
  • Confidentiality:
    Absolute discretion in the maintenance of confidential donor information and sensitive information, the ability to work under pressure and with frequently changing deadlines. (Required)
  • Project Management:
    Demanded skill prioritizing multiple assignments and achieving high productivity and work quality under rigid deadlines in a fast‑paced environment, skill coordinating large‑scale, high‑profile, complex conferences and events. (Required)
  • Communication:
    Display excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills to professionally represent the Ziman Center. (Required)
  • Typing and Proofreading:
    Outstanding typing skills. Proofreading and grammar are required. Knowledge of the English language, spelling, grammar and proofreader marks. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, database systems and database management. (Required)
  • Social Media:
    General knowledge of social media outlets as related to event marketing. (Required)
  • Priority Setting:
    Demonstrated skill setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities, maintaining organization and efficiencies in completing work assignments, competing assignments, and workloads to meet deadlines. (Required)
  • Diplomatic Communication:
    Skill communicating clearly and diplomatically to convey information to diverse constituencies in person, by phone and in writing. (Required)
  • Independent Work:
    Demonstrated ability to work independently in fulfilling various tasks and completing assignments. (Required)
  • Travel:
    Demonstrated knowledge of travel arrangements and UC Travel policies; ability to prepare purchase orders and reimbursement requests. (Preferred)

Schedule
