The Sr. Specialist, Procurement, IT & Business Services will be responsible for building & executing procurement for ~$60 million in business expenditures including Marketing, Sales & IT. This role will serve as a critical contributor to the Corporate Procurement team by establishing long & short-term objectives and category strategies aligned with the company’s mission & strategic goals related to growth, cost savings, supply continuity & risk management.
The role will contribute to the strategy for business services procurement categories and related areas such as the company’s travel & fleet programs. The qualified candidate will execute the full source-to-contract cycle while serving as a trusted partner & advisor to internal stakeholders. In addition, the Sr. Procurement Specialist will act as a change agent, advancing procurement capabilities & driving strategic sourcing from a company-wide perspective.
The role is expected to improve procurement procedures & processes for commercial expenditures. The successful candidate will possess excellent people skills & the ability to interface at all levels of the company.
- Owns a $60m “book of business” & align to company cost, quality, delivery & service requirements.
- Collaborates with executives & internal/external stakeholders to improve procurement strategies.
- Elevates Procurement’s status as a trusted partner in Lamb Weston through customer centricity.
- Builds appropriate Supplier Risk Management protocols with critical suppliers.
- Communicates strategies, priorities, goals, challenges & results to executives + stakeholders efficiently.
- Leads complex sourcing efforts & negotiates with suppliers.
- Identifies opportunities to extract additional value/innovation from the supply base while considering performance management & risk management approaches.
- Supports ESG outcomes for assigned categories.
- Consults with Legal to enable negotiation of contracts in an efficient & effective manner.
- Contributes to procurement performance & inflationary targets as part of annual planning cycle.
- Identifies and implements cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities.
- Develops and implements contract strategies that support the enterprise – North America, EMEA (Europe), Asia/Pacific (China/Australia) and Latin American (Argentina).
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in Procurement or equivalent industry/subject matter expertise.
- Experience in the Food Manufacturing Industry preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s in a business-related field preferred. - Experience in transformation & continuous improvement of procurement.
- Knowledge of SAP ERP & related systems including S/4 Hana, SAP Ariba & SAP Concur.
- Ability & knowledge to negotiate, manage & enforce procurement agreements.
- Experience in negotiating XaaS technology agreements preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate productively with cross-functional, cross-geographical teams.
- Ability to operate in uncertain environments & deliver under pressure.
- Self-starter with proven track record of executing in a complex, cross-functional environment.
- Outstanding organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization abilities, with varying timelines and stakeholders.

A reasonable annual estimate for this role is $74,190.00 – $. Actual compensation may vary based on job duties, experience and expertise.
