Business Operations Specialist
Serves as the Business Operations Specialist for a complex resort operations department within an Armed Forces Recreation Center (AFRC). The incumbent exercises independent judgment and skill in carrying out support services by assisting the supervisor or department director with all matters related to resort operations to include, recruitment, scheduling and payroll, internal control program, financial budget and objectives, procurement and business forecast planning.
Reviews plans, programs, and regulations pertaining to personnel, automation, analysis, and administration. Coordinates department activities and establishes office operating procedures to ensure uniform interpretation and implementation of regulations, policies and directives. Establishes and recommends changes to promote or improve department operations and provides advice on a wide range of matters. Responsible for preparing and reviewing correspondence; preparing briefings and charts;
manages meetings and maintaining calendars for the department director; managing marketing initiatives, procurement, training, property accountability, and tracking suspense items using automated systems. Serves as the department Contracting Office Representative, and performs government purchase card duties. Performs, coordinates, and/or participates with staff members to accomplish work. Provides administrative and logistical support and overall office management for the supervisor and/or staff in connection with the accomplishment of assigned functions.
Monitors systems to quickly identify issues and initiates corrective action and ensures integrity of data and processing of data are maintained within standards.
