Capital Improvement Project Coordinator
Manage various capital improvement projects at the Hawaii Convention Center. Administratively support the capital improvement management staff on various procurement procedures. Walk the venue to check on contractors and the projects they are working on.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Support project planning by assisting with scopes, budgets, procurement milestones, and project deliverables
- Maintain electronic project files, dashboards, schedules, financial trackers, risk logs, action-item logs, and closeout documentation
- Monitor project deadlines and communicate outstanding tasks and required deliverables
- Assist in preparing status reports, executive summaries, presentations and briefing materials
- Support procurement activities by preparing solicitation documents, evaluation matrices, bid comparisons, award documentation, and procurement records
- Track contracts, purchase orders, change orders, insurance certificates, permits, bonds and contract milestones
- Coordinate project meetings, site visits, inspections, shutdowns, and operational impacts while maintaining meeting minutes and action items
- Responsible for communications relative to construction projects
- Support Sustainability programs and initiatives, ensuring they meet regulatory and industry standards and HCC goals
- Monitor and track sustainability metrics, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- A minimum education level of:
High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS Degree Preferred) relating to business and/or construction management. - 2-5 years construction project management experience or related field.
- Must always maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and professional discretion.
- Must be able to lift/carry 10 pounds.
- Knowledge of project management, construction administration, procurement, document control, contract administration, timelines, and deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365;
Type 45 wpm; 10 key by touch. - Must demonstrate intermediate level knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Must demonstrate an ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, have strong analytical, and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to follow departmental and company procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Must always demonstrate a high level of performance in communication. This includes verbal, written, inter-departmental and outside of the department to all levels of employees as well as any people outside of the department and/or organization.
- Must effectively adapt to a changing environment and department needs.

Salary: $64,000-$74,000
