Position Overview
Concrete Superintendent – Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART), Honolulu, HI.
Salary: $160,000 – $220,000 depending upon experience.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future. NO STAFFING AGENCY CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED for this position.
We are the general contractor for the HART City Center Guideway and Stations project, a $1.66billion contract covering six rail stations and approximately three miles of elevated rail guideway.
Responsibilities- Supervise construction effort on elevated guideway structures to ensure safety, design compliance, budget and schedule.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination, etc.).
- Ensure compliance of craft workers and subcontractors with contract requirements, efficient use of materials and equipment, site safety plan and timely performance of the project schedule.
- Provide technical assistance (interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc.).
- Assist project management in developing project schedule, site logistics plan and implementing project procedures, working documents and standards.
- Support the Site Specific Safety Plan and coordinate with on‑site Owner employees.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
- 15 or more years of construction experience.
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- 10+ years’ experience as a superintendent on heavy civil projects overseeing construction of concrete structures.
- Experience as a superintendent on projects valued over $500M.
- Knowledge of U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards; experience with City, State, Federal Government clients preferred.
- Knowledge of contract management and familiarity with local trade/unions/craft.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy Bid or similar software.
- OSHA 500, CPR & First Aid certifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
