Position Overview

Concrete Superintendent – Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART), Honolulu, HI.

Salary: $160,000 – $220,000 depending upon experience.

We are the general contractor for the HART City Center Guideway and Stations project, a $1.66billion contract covering six rail stations and approximately three miles of elevated rail guideway.

• Supervise construction effort on elevated guideway structures to ensure safety, design compliance, budget and schedule.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination, etc.).
• Ensure compliance of craft workers and subcontractors with contract requirements, efficient use of materials and equipment, site safety plan and timely performance of the project schedule.
• Provide technical assistance (interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc.).
• Assist project management in developing project schedule, site logistics plan and implementing project procedures, working documents and standards.
• Support the Site Specific Safety Plan and coordinate with on‑site Owner employees.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

• 15 or more years of construction experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• 10+ years’ experience as a superintendent on heavy civil projects overseeing construction of concrete structures.
• Experience as a superintendent on projects valued over $500M.
• Knowledge of U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards; experience with City, State, Federal Government clients preferred.
• Knowledge of contract management and familiarity with local trade/unions/craft.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy Bid or similar software.
• OSHA 500, CPR & First Aid certifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
