Construction Laborer
This role involves physically demanding general labor work on construction projects, including foundations, concrete work, excavating, and trenching. The laborer supports daily site operations by performing tasks such as digging, mixing and pouring concrete, setting forms, and using power tools while maintaining a strong focus on safety and reliability.
Responsibilities- Dig trenches and excavations to support foundation and site preparation work.
- Mix and pour concrete according to project specifications and instructions.
- Set concrete forms and assist with finishing concrete surfaces as needed.
- Lift and carry materials weighing up to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
- Use chipping guns and other hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Perform general labor duties related to foundations, concrete, excavating, and trenching.
- Support demolition and masonry-related tasks as assigned.
- Arrive on time to the designated meeting location or job site and follow daily work plans.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work cooperatively with supervisors and crew members to complete tasks efficiently.
- Ability to perform hard physical labor for extended periods, including heavy lifting and repetitive tasks.
- Experience with general construction labor, including excavating, trenching, and concrete work.
- Capability to mix and pour concrete and assist with setting forms.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds safely and frequently.
- Familiarity with using chipping guns and basic construction tools.
- Reliable, consistent attendance and ability to show up on time and ready to work.
- Access to dependable personal transportation to travel to the office or job site.
- Willingness to work in a temp-to-hire arrangement and participate in an in-person interview.
- Comfort working in environments that require heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior work operating excavators is a plus.
- Prior work with concrete finishing is a plus.
- Prior work in masonry, demolition, or similar labor roles is beneficial.
- Ability to adapt to working on either foundation or concrete crews based on skill and project needs.

WorkEnvironment
The work environment is physically demanding and primarily outdoors on active construction sites. Laborers work on foundation and concrete projects, including excavating and trenching, and may either meet at the office around 6:30 a.m. to go to foundation jobs or report directly to concrete job sites around 7:30 a.m. The role involves heavy lifting, frequent use of hand and power tools such as chipping guns, and working around equipment like excavators.
Conditions can include varying weather, uneven terrain, and exposure to dust and noise. Proper work attire suitable for construction sites is required to ensure safety and comfort throughout the workday.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Honolulu, HI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
