ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYIf you love sports and want to be involved with live sports radio broadcasts, apply for a position as a board operator for ESPN Honolulu and CBS 1500. We are hiring an on-call board operator in our downtown Honolulu studio supporting live radio broadcasts of sporting events and sports talk radio programs. This position reports to the Program Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Operate our state-of-the-art broadcast studio equipment to carry out live radio programs
- Cue on-air talent for the scheduled radio broadcast elements including commercial breaks, live remotes, guest interviews and listener phone calls
- Answer listener phone calls and place calls on air
- Play pre-recorded content including music, commercials, public service announcements, recorded interviews, or scheduled news feeds and traffic alerts
- Ensure all broadcasts comply with FCC regulations
- Assist with radio remote broadcasts
- Proficiency with audio equipment, audio processing, and Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Previous experience with broadcast radio or TV production
This position is an on-call position with a varying work schedule (subject to change). Compensation is $16/hour.
