Director of Communications

Grace Covenant Church in Harrisonburg, Virginia, is looking for a Communications Director to join their team. This person will oversee and provide effective, consistent print and digital communication that is not only content-driven but also conveys the heart of Grace Covenant Church.

• Present a unified church identity and message by producing and coordinating all communication.
• Serve the Ministry Staff by prompting the “how, when and why” of all church communication.
• Develop and lead teams of volunteers gifted in both written and media communications so that flexible and comprehensive coverage of church activity is achieved.

• Committed and growing disciple of Jesus.
• B.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or comparable experience.
• Demonstrated ability to write, edit or produce a body of work that effectively conveys an idea or concept.
• Technical ability such as basic video editing, making graphics in Canva, and/or providing basic tech support to the staff.
• Demonstrated understanding of Digital / Social media communications.
• Experience with project scheduling or coordination.

Pay: $30,000 – $40,000 per year.
