Pro Service Hawaii is looking for an Unemployment Insurance Claims Coordinator who takes ownership of their caseload from initial claim intake through hearing representation. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for clients navigating the UI process, and they’ll rely on you to guide them through it with knowledge and confidence.

What makes this role interesting is the combination of regulatory work and client service happening at the same time. No two separations are the same, hearings require solid preparation and clear advocacy before the DLIR-DCD, and the work you do has a real impact on the clients you support.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

Research, prepare, and respond to all State UI requests — including SIDES, BP-35, and monetary determination reviews — with complete, accurate submissions within established KPI deadlines.

Prepare for and represent Pro Service and its clients at unemployment insurance hearings before the DLIR-DCD, building strong cases independently and advocating confidently.

Manage all client and worksite employee communication related to UI claims — answering inquiries, walking people through the process, and resolving escalations by end of business day.

Onboard and offboard clients into Pro Service’s UI program, ensuring accurate account setup and seamless transitions.

Stay current on UI regulations and state requirements, and proactively communicate changes that may affect clients’ businesses.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TEAM

Prior experience in unemployment insurance claims processing — including separations, appeals, and state correspondence — is important for this role. We’re looking for someone who understands the UI process and is ready to put that knowledge to work from day one.

Hands‑on UI claims experience — you’re comfortable completing SIDES responses, BP-35 forms, or equivalent state correspondence and know what an accurate, timely submission looks like.

Hearing experience — you’ve prepared for and participated in a DLIR hearing (or equivalent) and can represent an employer or client clearly and confidently.

Strong caseload management — you stay organized across multiple concurrent cases with different deadlines and have a system that keeps things from falling through the cracks.

Clear communication with clients — you can explain complex regulatory topics in plain language and help people feel informed and supported, even when the situation is stressful.

A self‑directed work style — you take ownership of your work, follow through without being reminded, and speak up early when something needs attention.

IS THIS ROLE RIGHT FOR YOU?

This is a compliance role where accuracy, responsiveness, and deadline management matter every day. You’ll be managing multiple concurrent cases, fielding client inquiries, and representing clients at hearings — sometimes all in the same week. The work is detail‑oriented and moves quickly, so staying organized and proactive is key.

This role works best for someone who’s comfortable owning their caseload with general guidance rather than step‑by‑step oversight. Clients rely on Pro Service to navigate the UI process on their behalf, and you’ll be their main point of contact. We expect you to stay on top of your workload, communicate early when something needs attention, and come to the table with solutions.
