RESPONSIBILITIES I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides rapid, accurate and courteous handling of telephone calls, paging, FAX messages, emergency communications, CCTV programming, patient calls to the nurses, alarm lines and Fire Management Systems operations.
- Essential: sitting, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking; lifting usual weight of 1/2 pound up to 2 pounds; pushing/pulling, carrying usual weight of 1/2 pound up to 3 pounds; reaching at and above shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions; frequent gripping of an object.
- Frequent: twisting body and reaching below shoulder level.
- Operates operator console, computer, telephone, pneumatic tube system.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
- Work environment sometimes stressful due to handling of emergency calls.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
- High School diploma preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- One (1) year telecommunications experience.
- Demonstrated ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
