Dispatcher, Customer Service​/HelpDesk

ABM Industries is hiring a Dispatcher to coordinate facility service teams across client sites such as commercial buildings, schools, hospitals, and airports. This role receives service requests by phone, email, or system alerts, prioritizes work based on urgency and safety, and dispatches janitorial, maintenance, or support staff accordingly. The Dispatcher updates work orders in dispatch or CMMS software, tracks job status, and communicates with supervisors and field staff to ensure timely, high-quality service.

Success in this role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and log service requests via phone, email, and system alerts
• Prioritize and schedule work orders based on urgency and safety
• Dispatch janitorial, maintenance, and support staff to client sites
• Monitor job progress and update statuses in dispatch or CMMS software
• Communicate with field staff and supervisors to resolve issues and delays
• Maintain accurate records of calls, work orders, and service outcomes
• Coordinate with management on escalated or emergency situations
• Support adherence to ABM safety, quality, and customer service standards
