Responsibilities- Manage, coordinate the team and consultants, and oversee production and design of Department of Defense (DoD) and non-DoD projects.
- Coordinate design development and construction documents.
- Coordinate the design of the project with both outside Consultants and in-house project teams.
- Coordinate all design and technical details.
- Design and develop technical design concepts, plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- Manage the preparation of design drawings by other designers.
- Review documents for code compliance.
- Assist with design and production relating to more complicated areas of construction documents and aid in solutions to general architectural problems.
- Act as job captain in the absence of this position.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required.
- Minimum of ten (10) years substantial experience in all phases of architecture, including five (5) years of substantial project architect and management experience on DoD projects.
- Architectural registration required.
- Substantial knowledge of DoD procedures for design, management, and production of construction and design development documents.
- Thorough knowledge of architectural planning, detailing, drafting, construction materials and methods.
- Working knowledge of related engineering principles and building codes.
- Proficiency in CAD.
- Revit and/or 3-D software program experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary Range: $92,000 to $114,000
