Project Architect; Department of Defense - Architecture

• Manage, coordinate the team and consultants, and oversee production and design of Department of Defense (DoD) and non-DoD projects.
• Coordinate design development and construction documents.
• Coordinate the design of the project with both outside Consultants and in-house project teams.
• Coordinate all design and technical details.
• Design and develop technical design concepts, plans, elevations, sections, and details.
• Manage the preparation of design drawings by other designers.
• Review documents for code compliance.
• Assist with design and production relating to more complicated areas of construction documents and aid in solutions to general architectural problems.
• Act as job captain in the absence of this position.

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years substantial experience in all phases of architecture, including five (5) years of substantial project architect and management experience on DoD projects.
• Architectural registration required.
• Substantial knowledge of DoD procedures for design, management, and production of construction and design development documents.
• Thorough knowledge of architectural planning, detailing, drafting, construction materials and methods.
• Working knowledge of related engineering principles and building codes.
• Proficiency in CAD.
• Revit and/or 3-D software program experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary Range: $92,000 to $114,000
