This is a full-time, on-site Project Manager role based in Honolulu, HI. The Project Manager oversees day-to-day project delivery, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating project phases from concept through construction. Responsibilities include leading multidisciplinary project teams, managing client communication and expectations, and ensuring design quality, technical accuracy, and code compliance. The role involves preparing and reviewing project documentation, monitoring budgets and timelines, and proactively addressing risks or changes in scope.
The Project Manager also collaborates with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to support smooth project execution and successful outcomes across commercial, civic, academic, and housing projects.
- Demonstrated project management experience in architecture or related fields, including coordination of scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
- Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to lead meetings, manage expectations, and build long-term professional relationships.
- Proficiency with architectural documentation and coordination tools (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, project management software) and familiarity with permitting processes.
- Solid understanding of building codes, construction methods, and technical detailing for commercial, civic, academic, and/or housing projects.
- Ability to lead and mentor project teams, delegate effectively, and foster a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, presentations, and schedules.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field; professional licensure or active pursuit of licensure is preferred.
- Experience with complex, multi-stakeholder projects and an interest in community-focused, research-based design solutions.
- Capacity to work on-site in Honolulu, HI, with flexibility to attend site visits, client meetings, and coordination sessions as needed.
