InForm Design is an award-winning architectural and interior design firm seeking a talented and driven Interior Designer to work with us in our Interior Design Studio. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in commercial interior design, focusing primarily on hospitality, corporate office environments, and luxury residential project work.

Role Description

This is a full-time, exempt, on-site role position based in Honolulu, HI.

Primary

Responsibilities include:
  • Leading the design process, from conceptualization to project completion, including space planning, creating construction drawings, and specifying and procuring furnishings, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
  • Collaboration with and management of clients, contractors, consultants, and other teams to develop innovative and functional interior environments in line with project goals.
  • Active participation in all aspects of acquiring client project work including business development and client project proposals and presentations.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Permanent United States work VISA or citizenship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design/Architecture.
  • Master’s degree is a plus along with NCIDQ certification or equivalent.
  • 6+ years post graduate experience with at least the last two years in a interior design project management position with heavy experience in hospitality design.
  • Proficiency in Space Planning and a deep understanding of Interior Design principles.
  • Experience working with architecture project teams and the ability to integrate design concepts into architectural frameworks.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed Construction Drawings and an understanding of construction methodologies and materials. Preferably using Revit.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in the selection, specification, and procurement of FF&E (furnishings, fixtures, and equipment).
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and meet deadlines.
  • High-level proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit (preferably), Enscape, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office 365 and Sketch Up.
  • Active participation in business development and acquisition of new client projects.
  • Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail along with a team and client‑focused mindset.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working on high‑profile or large‑scale projects is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinating and preparing client Project Proposals.
  • Completing client project documentation and design packages.
  • Interface with clients, other business partners, resources, and vendors.
  • Track record of completing client projects on or under financial and resource budgets.
  • Managing and mentoring internal and external resources.
  • Actively participate in industry events and networking and business development and growth of the firm.
Compensation
  • Exempt, annual base compensation salary range, depending on Education and Experience of $60,000 - $105,000.

Schedule
  • Flexible, full time, in office Monday to Friday between 7A – 6P.
  • Some travel including overnight stays and outside normal work hours noted above may be necessary.
