The firm provides services for projects in all market sectors, including high‑rise residential, commercial mixed‑use, healthcare, education, hospitality, retail, industrial, institutional, and military.

The office in downtown Honolulu is seeking a Project Architect with retail experience to join a highly creative and collaborative team. The successful candidate will manage, coordinate, and oversee the production and design of fast‑paced full‑build‑out and tenant‑improvement retail projects.

• Manage the technical direction, coordination, and production of retail projects, including occasional non‑retail work.
• Oversee design development and construction documents.
• Coordinate design with outside consultants and in‑house project teams.
• Direct the design of technical details and develop architectural plans, elevations, sections, and details.
• Manage the preparation of design drawings by other designers.
• Review documents for code compliance.
• Assist with design and production for complex construction documents and resolve general architectural problems.
• Act as job captain in the absence of the position.

• Education
  :
  Minimum of a bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university with an architecture degree or focus.
• At least seven (7) years of substantial experience in all phases of architecture, including three (3) years of substantial project architect and management experience of retail projects.
• Certification
  :
  Architectural registration required; state of Hawaii registration preferred, other states considered; LEED accreditation preferred; candidates on an active pathway to licensure will also be considered.
• Knowledge & Skills
  :
  • Substantial knowledge of retail project systems and procedures for design, management, and production of construction and design development documents.
  • Thorough knowledge of architectural planning, detailing, drafting, construction materials, methods, and related engineering principles and building codes.
  • Proficiency in Revit and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Experience with 3D software programs preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $110,000.
