Duties and Responsibilities:
* Teach online and in-person courses on topics related to biostatistics to undergraduate and graduate public health and other health professional students
* Conduct and maintain independent research in biostatistics, as evidenced by extramural grants and peer-reviewed publications
* Plan and establish new courses and programs
* Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate public health students
* Serve on departmental, school, university and professional committees
* Provide service to professional stakeholders as relevant to the individual's academic specialty
* Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
* Doctoral degree in biostatistics or statistics from a college or university of recognized standing
* Demonstrated ability in teaching biostatistics and quantitative research methods at the undergraduate or graduate levels
* Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research through peer-reviewed publications and grants
* Experience of statistical consulting and collaboration research with others
* Proficient in statistical software such as R, SAS, SPSS, and Stata
* Professionalism in meeting and conferring with others
Desirable
Qualifications:
* Established record of teaching biostatistics independently to undergraduate or graduate students in classroom or online modalities
* Sustained scholarly contributions in biostatistics, with potential for impact in advancing the field and/or addressing pressing public health challenges
* Demonstrated ability to develop new courses and/or programs
* Experience in supervising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in public health or other applied areas
* Demonstrated ability to actively lead and collaborate on research
