Kamehameha Schools' Kapālama Elementary School is seeking accomplished, passionate, and inspiring Elementary Teachers (K-6) who are dedicated to educating the whole child through meaningful, enriching learning experiences that nurture mind, body, spirit, and social consciousness. This role is ideal for educators who excel at creating safe, joyful, and nurturing learning environments where young learners thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
As active members of a vibrant learning community at Kula Haʻahaʻa ma Kapālama, teachers collaborate closely with colleagues, engage in continuous professional learning, and contribute to a culture of growth, reflection, and excellence. Grounded in E Ola! Learner Outcomes and guided by Christian and Hawaiian Culture-Based educational practices and beliefs, faculty play a vital role in advancing Pauahi's mission and fostering Native Hawaiian identity, servant leadership, and kuleana in students.
Teachers design engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction that is student-centered, culturally responsive, and aligned to individualized learner needs, while building strong pilina with students and families.
Experience with ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi is highly beneficial, and a willingness to learn and grow in Hawaiian culture-based practice is essential. This full-time position follows a Monday-Friday schedule (7:30 a.m.
-3:30 p.m.) with intentional structures for weekly team collaboration and professional development.
