For placement in lecturer pool beginning Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2025. Positions are part-time, temporary, non-tenure, and contingent upon course offerings, sufficient student enrollment, position clearance, and availability of funds.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Classroom lecturers in elementary music, music education, theory and aural training, composition, ethnomusicology, music appreciation and musicology, woodwind, string, and brass methods, class voice, class and slack key guitar, ukulele, ensembles in jazz, orchestra, percussion, Hawaiian, Okinawan, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Oceanic music. Teach one or more courses in area of expertise as assigned by the Music Department Chair. Meeting course requirements as established by the department chair.
Other related duties, including preparing course syllabus, grading, maintaining weekly office hours.
Minimum Qualifications
* Master's degree in Music with appropriate concentration or equivalent professional teaching expertise in the relevant area.
