Punahou School is actively recruiting an Associate Director of College Counseling who models open-mindedness, careful listening, and rigorous independent thought. The ideal candidate will embody a commitment to the social, emotional, and ethical lives of our students. They will work concurrently with a cohort of juniors and seniors, along with the students' families, serving as an advocate for the students of Punahou School in their transitions to their post‑secondary journeys.
The Associate Director of College Counseling is responsible for teaching a College Guidance class along with conducting conferences for juniors, seniors, and their families in their cohort. Additionally, they are responsible for writing the recommendation letters for their cohort and will work collaboratively in an accomplished office of College Counselors and support staff.

Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Schedule may vary based on operational needs - Minimum Salary Range: $88,735 - Compensation commensurate with qualifications

Pay for selected candidates will be determined by various factors such as knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant training and experience, and internal equity.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree required. Masters or Doctorate preferred.
- Three (3) years of experience in college admissions or college counseling at the high school level required.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Keen understanding of various college applications and their admissions processes.
