The Department of Psychology, College of Social Sciences (CSS), University of Hawai'i at Manoa (UHM) invites applicants for the position of Instructor (I-2). This is a non-tenure track, full-time, 9-month, faculty appointment to begin August 1, 2026, subject to position clearance and availability of funds. We are seeking a candidate committed to undergraduate education and interest in advancing instructional pedagogy in the psychological sciences in both online and in person formats.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Teach assigned undergraduate courses of Psychology, Research Methods in Psychology, Statistical Techniques in Psychology, and additional courses serving departmental needs.
* Participate in department, college, university, and community service.
* Participate in mentoring graduate students on pedagogical knowledge and course development.
* Other duties as assigned by the Department Chair.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Psychology or closely related discipline from a college or university of recognized standing.
* Evidence in ability to teach Psychology effectively at a university level.
* Demonstrated ability to direct graduate teaching and learning assistants.
* Advanced pedagogical knowledge for both online and in-person instruction.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism in meeting and conferring with others.
Desirable Qualifications include:
* Ph.D. in Psychology or closely related discipline from a college or university of recognized standing.
* Proven track record of effective course instruction in lower and upper-division Psychology courses at the university level.
* Ability to teach courses related to statistics and behavioral neuroscience at the undergraduate level.
* Experience successfully teaching large lecture courses with lab sections.
* Experience teaching student populations with varying backgrounds.
