*** Kamehameha Schools is looking for a full-time Senior Consultant, Learning & Innovation to support our Preschools. This role will lead and design the development of 'aina-based education, extended learning and the strengthening of a Native Hawaiian identity. Must have the ability to travel to various locations, including neighbor islands to conduct business and ability to work evening and weekend hours as required to meet goals and objectives
***** Job Summary
** Supports the development of World class Hawaiian culture-based education advances and initiatives tied to 'aina-based education, extended learning and the strengthening of a Native Hawaiian identity. Develops and implements system of support and engagement for the campus, 'ohana and community to advance innovation for model 21st century Hawaiian Learning environments.
** Essential Responsibilities
**** Program Development and Implementation
*** Leads and designs the development of 'aina-based education, extended learning and the strengthening of a Native Hawaiian identity through Kamehameha School’s Preschools.
* Designs Hawaiian Culture-Based Education professional development and learning experiences for teachers.
* Provides support and leadership in the implementation and evaluation of best practices in teaching, learning and innovation.
* Develops and implements system of support and engagement for the preschools, 'ohana and community to advance innovation for model 21st century Hawaiian Learning environments.
** Policies and Procedures
*** Collaboratively works with preschool leadership in understanding, analyzing and interpreting data to maintain quality programming and instructional efficacy.
** Relationship Management
*** Serves as a strong partner/advocate to meet identified program and , regional needs.
* Promotes and builds positive, productive relationships with KS preschool educators, leaders, staff, and other partners and collaborators.
** Supervision and Evaluation
*** Serves to develop teacher effectiveness and competencies through the supervisory process, professional development, coaching, and evaluation.
* Participates in monitoring and improving the quality of instruction through the educator growth and evaluation cycle.
* Participates in formal supervision and evaluation process.
* Assists in providing additional support through focused assistance for building teacher leaders.
* Creates and sustains an atmosphere of trust by encouraging, facilitating, and recognizing appropriate instructional risk-taking and innovation for growth. Supervises implementation of curriculum, instruction, and assessment  , including extended learning activities.
* Makes appropriate and effective decisions for professional development content and strategies that elevate Hawaiian culture-based education as a system.
* Support the instructional development of educators in understanding and applying Hawaiian culture-based education, standards-based curriculum and assessment, personalization.
* Authority to make appropriate and effective decisions related to the educator growth and evaluation system.

**** Minimum Qualifications
- ** An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the requirements listed.
* Master's Degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or closely related field.
* Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
* Minimum 5 years work experience in Hawaiian culture-based education.
* Excellent in supervising instructional staff (observations, conferencing, data and feedback and documentation).
