F. Scarpa Entrepreneurial Pathway is a university‑wide initiative launched to foster an entrepreneurial culture that empowers the next generation of leaders with the skills and confidence to innovate and create meaningful solutions for tomorrow's world.

This position reports directly to the Dean of the College of Business in accomplishing the Pathway’s mission. The successful candidate will work closely with the Dean to help plan, organize, direct, implement, and market the entrepreneurial activities of the John

F. Scarpa Entrepreneurial Pathway, which include entrepreneurial academic and co‑curricular experiences, competitions, coordination with students, faculty, staff, entrepreneurs in residence, guest speakers, and others in the entrepreneurial ecosystem and university.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • BA or BS degree in entrepreneurship, design, business, communications, liberal arts, engineering, or related disciplines or equivalent
  • One (1) year training or experience in project and/or event planning and management, or equivalent
  • One (1) year training or experience in entrepreneurship education, incubation or acceleration
  • Proficient in computer, word processing, and presentation software skills
  • Able to travel for Pathway, COB, and HPU business and events

  • Ability to coordinate and execute targeted marketing strategies, using social media platforms

  • Excellent time and stress management skills
  • Enthusiasm for design and or entrepreneurial thinking
  • Startup, accelerator, or incubator experience
  • Experience with excellent entrepreneurial training or at least the ability to distinguish it from mediocre entrepreneurial training.
Other Qualifications
  • Must meet training and background check qualifications and comply with the Protection of Minors policy
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship and relocation allowance is not available for this position.
  • Report to work obligations to support the department and may require work during HPU’s winter break, if necessary.
  • Able to work non‑traditional business hours, including nights and weekends
  • Upon hire, candidate must have reliable transportation to travel between all HPU worksites and other locations as required by the position.
Key Responsibilities / Essential Job Functions Coordinate and Implement Entrepreneurial Programs (40%)
  • Assist the lead and program managers of the John

    F. Scarpa Pathway and the HPU College of Business in the development, coordination and implementation of programs in entrepreneurship within the college and across the university (e.g., lunch series, speaker series, competitions, entrepreneurs‑in‑residence)
  • Coordinate and manage on and off‑campus events, set‑up venue, provide on‑site logistical support and oversight, sometimes in conjunction with the lead and sometimes independently
  • Participate in community and campus events, in meetings with other university constituencies
  • With guidance, develop partnerships within the university and within the entrepreneurial ecosystem
Communications and marketing (40%)
  • Prepare event programs, program marketing materials such as flyers, posters, larger displays, newspaper advertisements, electronic and email announcements, and printed program materials
