ESL Teacher - Summer

As an ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher you will use EF’s curriculum and blended learning approach to lead classes of international students of varying English levels, working under the Academic Director and the Academic department.

• Plan and prepare lessons: deliver engaging General English and Special Interest (SPIN) courses that meet the diverse needs of international students.
• Inspire language learning: ignite students’ passion through interactive, immersive, and meaningful classroom experiences.
• Academic administration: track student attendance, assess progress, and provide regular feedback to support each student’s learning journey.
• Classroom management: foster a positive, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment where students feel safe, motivated, and empowered to participate.
• School spirit: encourage students to get involved beyond classroom lessons, helping them connect through activities, events, and cultural exchanges.
• Safeguarding and welfare: prioritize the well‑being and safety of students, following EF’s safeguarding policies and responding to any issues that arise.
• Professional development: stay up to date with the latest ESL teaching practices, integrating innovative methods and technology to support student learning and growth.

• Full fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• All additional languages are a plus.
• Previous experience as an ESL Teacher is a plus.
• Experience with safeguarding and student welfare is preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills to support a dynamic and evolving student community (students may participate from two weeks to one year).
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Teaching or a related field.
• TEFL and/or CELTA / DELTA Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Experience living, working, or studying abroad is a plus.
