Salary: $3,606 to $4,563 per month (SR-11, Step C to I)
Applicants must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Duties SummaryPerforms highly complex library support work; supervises and participates in performing complex library support work; and/or performs substantive technical/paraprofessional library support work which requires knowledge and understanding of techniques used in one or more of the basic elements of library sciences; and performs other related duties as assigned.

:
One (1) year of clerical work experience that demonstrates knowledge of spelling and arithmetic, the ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions, and compare words and numbers quickly and accurately. The experience should also show ability to perform various clerical procedures, operate office equipment, and deal with others in a tactful and polite manner; or at least be comparable to the Library Assistant II level. - Specialized Experience Requirement
:
Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in a library involving circulation work, stack maintenance, processing orders, posting receipts, locating and verifying bibliographic information, and using standard reference sources. The experience must demonstrate knowledge and application of library terminology, practices, policies, and procedures, and an understanding of the organization of library materials. At least one year of this experience must be comparable to the Library Assistant IV level. - Supervisory Aptitude
:
For positions that require supervisory duties, applicants must demonstrate aptitude or potential for supervision through successful completion of assignments that involve supervisory responsibilities, leadership roles, training courses in supervision, or favorable appraisals indicating supervisory potential. - Substitutions Allowed
