Job OverviewLe Jardin Academy is looking for a Summer Programs Preschool Teacher JK. The role supports the LJA mission statement and the implementation of summer and/or after‑school programs. The teacher will model the school‑wide Agreements and the attributes of the IB Learner Profile, exhibit courteous behavior and a sense of professionalism at all times, and demonstrate an enjoyment of working with children.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. 2026 Summer Program hours are 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday–Friday.
Responsibilities- Plan and implement age‑appropriate lessons and recreational activities.
- Maintain classroom management and established routines.
- Support student learning during summer.
- Supervise students during instructional time, recess, and transitions.
- Communicate effectively with the preschool team.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Communicate student attendance and behavior to appropriate persons.
- Follow all school policies and procedures detailed in the Employee Handbook.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or Child Development or CDA.
- OR Bachelor’s degree in any field with 12 early‑childhood credit hours AND 6 months of experience working with 0‑5 year olds in a licensed facility.
Experience:
- Required:
6 months of experience working with 0‑5 year olds in a licensed facility. - Preferred:
Knowledge of or experience with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) and previous substitute teaching experience.

Compensation and BenefitsHourly at $22.00 to $24.00 per hour. Paid training.
