Salary: $4,961 to $6,043 per month (SR-20, Step D to I).
Shift Work: Applicants must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.
ResponsibilitiesAs a fully competent professional librarian, perform the full range of professional services in a service or functional area; generally serve as the librarian responsible for providing the full range of professional services within a particular service area; catalog and classify materials presenting the full range of cataloging problems; and perform other related duties as assigned.
QualificationsLegal Authorization to Work: Citizens, nationals, permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
Education: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four‑year college or university.
Professional Librarian
Experience:
One and one‑half (1.5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in one or more major functional areas of librarianship (e.g., selection, acquisition, cataloging and classification, collection development and maintenance, reference and readers’ advisory services, or development and promotion of library services).
Master's Degree in Library Science: A master's degree in Library Science from an accredited college or university will be deemed to have met all the education and experience requirements for Librarian III.
Applicants in their last semester who will graduate at the time of examination will be acceptable. If you are in the last semester and graduating with a Master of Library Science degree, submit a copy of your official transcript, and a letter verifying enrollment, expected graduation date, and major.
