Valid Special Education license from the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board.

Desired KnowledgePlan and facilitate Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings; exercise independent and professional judgment in carrying out daily functions; maintain an effective work pace under pressure to meet deadlines; grasp new concepts quickly and apply them effectively; work effectively with others.
QualificationsThe Hawaii State Department of Education requires a Bachelor's Degree for teacher, librarian, or counselor positions, unless the position is a designated Career and Technology Education (CTE) role. A valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit is required upon hire.
Licensing RequirementsTeachers without a completed Teacher's Education Program have a maximum of 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license. Enrollment in a program aligned with the teaching line is mandatory. Employees must demonstrate active pursuit of licensure each year in accordance with the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board.
