Punahou School is actively recruiting a temporary full-time English Faculty member for the  School Year. The ideal candidate will join a dedicated department that fosters personal and social discovery through the collective practice of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The English Faculty member will model open-mindedness, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence, and their classes will celebrate the beauty of good literature and the emerging ideas and voices of young writers.

• Faculty Salary Range*: $59,790 - $120,828 - Compensation commensurate with qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English or related field;
  Master's degree preferred.
• Three (3) years of experience in teaching English in a high school setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and well-being.
• Broad knowledge of traditional and contemporary literary texts.
• Ability and passion for working with a broad range of students.
• Demonstrated mastery of instructional technology in the classroom.
