For placement in lecturer pool beginning Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026. Positions are part-time, temporary, non-tenure, and contingent upon course offerings, sufficient student enrollment, position clearance, and availability of funds.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate or graduate American Studies courses or equivalent.
  • Other related duties, including preparing course syllabus, grading, maintaining weekly office hours.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in American Studies (or applicable field).
  • Desirable Qualifications

  • PhD in American Studies (or related field) or doctoral work in American Studies (or related field).
  • Knowledge in appropriate field as evidenced by coursework.
  • Prior relevant university teaching experience in the field.
  • Training in and/or experience with online teaching
