Other Conditions:
Extramural funds. Appointment to begin July 2026 or soon thereafter. Renewal contingent upon project needs, satisfactory performance, and availability of funds.
- Under the supervision of the COE faculty member, participate in a Hawaii Education Research Network (HERN) partnership between the Hawai'i Department of Education (HIDOE) and UHM's College of Education.
- Conduct research on elementary math education and formative assessment. Research tasks may include but are not limited to: conducting literature searches and reviews on methods for assessing procedural fluency, meeting with project partners and stakeholders, assist in developing and submitting an IRB application for the project, collecting, organizing, and analyzing information and data, synthesizing findings, and with guidance from faculty, writing research reports and assist in co-authoring and co-presenting project findings and scholarly work (e.g. webinars, research forums, conferences).
- Participate in monthly HERN Fellow meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
