For placement into the lecturer pool beginning Fall 2026. Subject to availability of funds and actual staffing requirements.
- Teach Social Sciences courses in Sustainability.
- Prepare course syllabus and reports related to teaching and student progress.
- Assess student learning in terms of student and program learning outcomes.
- Submit self‑assessment reports based on student and peer evaluations.
- Work under the general supervision of the discipline coordinator/division chairperson in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in the discipline area.
- Maintain one office hour per week for each course taught.
- Classes may be offered online, daytime, evenings and/or weekends.
Note:
Related fields include Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Natural Resource Management, Ecology, Conservation Biology, Geography (with sustainability emphasis), Public Policy (with environmental/sustainability emphasis), or other interdisciplinary programs where sustainability‑related subject matter was a primary focus of the program, as demonstrated by required coursework, program learning outcomes, or degree requirements.
