Emergency Medical Services Part-Time Lecturer
University of Hawai'i, Kapi'olani Community College, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Department is seeking applications for the EMS part-time lecturer position. The duties and responsibilities include conducting lecture and laboratory courses, assisting in teaching programs, contributing to curriculum development, mentoring students, supervising EMS students, participating in assessment of course learning outcomes, maintaining office hours, conducting student evaluations, adhering to due dates, and possible evening, weekend, and off-campus assignments.
Minimum qualifications include a master's degree in Health Sciences, Biological Sciences, Nursing or EMS, current EMT-P certification, and current Hawai'i certification as an MICT. Other options include a bachelor's degree with three years of related work experience, certification as a paramedic with a baccalaureate degree, an associate degree in MICT with five years of related work experience, or a medical doctor with a current Hawai'i license and board eligibility or certification in emergency medicine.
Desirable qualifications include demonstrated commitment to promoting a positive academic environment and supporting the success of students.
