About the RoleWe are seeking a visionary and passionate educator to lead our Mathematics department as Head of Learning Area – Mathematics. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Mathematics education in a dynamic and supportive Christian learning community.
You will be a key contributor to the Secondary Leadership Team, mentoring staff, driving curriculum development, and modelling ethical leadership in all aspects of school life.

- Proven leadership experience or capacity for leadership in curriculum development, mentoring, and staff management.
- Strong knowledge of Western Australian Curriculum and assessment standards.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire, lead, and motivate others in pursuit of excellence.
- Alignment with the mission, vision, and values of South Coast Baptist College.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively and strategically.
- Evidence of innovation and excellence in teaching practice.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
- A personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Active participation in a church or Christian community, exemplifying Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices.
- Acceptance of the College’s Statement of Faith.
- Ability to build cooperative and supportive relationships with the Board, Principal, staff, students, and parents.
- Commitment to personal best practice.
- Ensure decisions are impartial, fact‑based, and fair.
