What You’ll Do

College counseling & student advising

  • In alignment with the School's mission and under the direction of the Dean of Academics & Faculty:
  • Serve as the primary college counselor for students and families, providing individualized guidance throughout the college search, selection, application, and transition process.
  • Counsel students and families regarding academic planning, course selection, college list development, standardized testing, application procedures and timelines, essay development, interviews, portfolios, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities
  • Conduct regular meetings with students and families; write individualized letters of recommendation; and support students in identifying post‑secondary opportunities aligned with their strengths, goals, values, and sense of purpose.
  • Assist students and families in navigating academic and transitional challenges related to the college process.
  • Develop and deliver college counseling curriculum, presentations, workshops, and informational programming for students and families, including teaching the Senior Seminar course.
  • Coordinate college representative visits, college fairs, and student college visit opportunities while cultivating strong relationships with admissions professionals and relevant educational organizations.
  • Oversee and maintain all student academic, enrollment, demographic, health, and graduation records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, compliance, and appropriate record retention.
  • Coordinate the collection, maintenance, and secure management of student health records, immunization documentation, medical forms, and related information, ensuring compliance with school policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Manage student enrollment, re‑enrollment, status changes, graduation tracking, and related record‑keeping processes.
  • Prepare and distribute report cards, progress reports, transcripts, graduation records, enrollment verifications, and other official academic documents.
  • Support transcript evaluation, GPA calculations, graduation requirements, academic standing, class rankings, and related academic record processes.
  • Maintain and update the School Profile and other institutional documentation submitted to colleges, universities, accrediting agencies, and external organizations.
Student Information Systems & Data Management
  • Oversee the administration, maintenance, integration, and optimization of student information systems and related educational databases, ensuring effective utilization, data integrity, security, and operational reliability.
