The Academy Director (or Coordinator) at Farrington High School leads the "wall-to-wall" career academies, overseeing curriculum design, building industry partnerships, and shaping academic structures that prepare students for college and specific career pathways.

• Lead the planning, development, and assessment of all career academy programs.
• Collaborate with faculty to design and implement curriculum that aligns with industry standards.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with local businesses, industry leaders, and community organizations.
• Advocate for student achievement, ensuring programs prepare students for college and workforce success.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the school, district, and external stakeholders regarding academy initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree (minimum) in education, curriculum, or a related field.
• Valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit, or commitment to obtain a license within three years of hire.
• Enrollment in a Hawaii Teacher Standards Board–approved Teaching Preparation Program if not already licensed.
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum design, education administration, or industry partnership development.

New employees can expect their first paycheck within the first three pay periods of their start date. Payday is on the 5th and 20th (or the previous business day) of each month.

• Compensation: 10‑month teachers receive salary according to the Bargaining Unit 05 10‑month schedule.
• Paid Sick Leave: 18 days of paid sick leave (including 6 days for personal or professional development) during the school year.
