Lecturer Pool (SoLS Fall 2026: MICR 351)

Lecturers needed to teach the following courses this Fall 2026 semester:

• MICR 351:
  Biology of Microorganisms (3 cr)
• Anatomy, chemistry, physiology, genetics, development, and environmental interactions of microorganisms.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Available to teach the entire Fall 2026 semester;
• 0-1 years of experience teaching college-level courses;
• BS degree, MS degree, or advancement to candidacy in a PhD degree in Biology, Botany, Microbiology, or related field;
• General knowledge of one or more of the courses listed above.

Desirable

Qualifications:

• Previous college-level teaching experience;
• Online teaching experience, demonstrated teaching proficiency, strong scientific writing skills, demonstrated organizational skills;
• PhD degree in Biology, Botany, Microbiology, or related field.

Duties and Responsibilities for all courses:

• Teach course(s) and/or associated lab sections for the duration of the Fall 2026 semester;
• Preparing and delivering lectures, writing and grading exams, and other assessments.
• Meeting with students outside of class time;
• Additional course-related duties.
