Tutoring and Academic Coaching Services Coordinator
The Tutoring and Academic Coaching Services Coordinator supports student achievement and persistence by leading the daily operations of tutoring and academic coaching services at Chaminade University. This role is responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising a team of peer and professional Tutors and Academic Coaches, managing appointment systems, promoting an inclusive and student-centered learning environment, and collaborating with campus partners to ensure services align with student needs.
The Coordinator also contributes to broader student success and retention initiatives, particularly those supporting at-promise student populations.
This position may involve light physical activity in both indoor and outdoor settings. Successful candidates should be comfortable alternating between standing and sitting, as well as navigating stairs and sloped walkways. They should also be comfortable lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds. Strong motor skills and clear, effective communication are essential.
This is a full-time, non-exempt employment position. The standard work schedule is forty (40) hours per week. However, depending on departmental needs, occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work may be required. Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to a varied schedule are essential.
