This is a full-time, 11-month, faculty appointment at the Researcher (R2) rank in the Center on Disability, College of Education, University of Hawai'i at Manoa paid by extramural funds. It is a temporary, non-tenure track position that is subject to availability of funding and renewal is contingent upon satisfactory performance, staffing requirements, and/or availability of funding. The selectee is required to complete the College of Education New Faculty Orientation during the first year of appointment, Title IX training, other required training, ISAT, and must undergo and pass a criminal background check.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate collection, organization, management, and quality assurance of quantitative and qualitative research and evaluation data across PSP, PTACT, IPSE Bridge, summer training, employment, and related activities.
• Develop and implement evaluation measures, procedures, and data-collection methods.
• Develop and maintain information-management systems that support research, evaluation, and systematic inquiry across PSP, PTACT, IPSE Bridge, and related activities, including participant, service, training, technical assistance, employment, outcome, and performance information.
• Coordinate activities and communication among project staff, university personnel, educational institutions, employers, agencies, nonprofit and community organizations, and national partners.
• Contribute to research and evaluation reports, federal and state reports, professional presentations, publications, briefs, training resources, and other project products.
• Disseminate project findings and resources to professional, university, agency, disability, and community audiences.
• Participate in grant proposals, continuation applications, and other project development activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, social work, disability studies, social sciences, public administration, evaluation, or a closely related field from a college or university of recognized standing.
• Experience with research or program evaluation, including data collection, data management, information management, analysis, interpretation, reporting, or related activities.
• Experience organizing, synthesizing, interpreting, and communicating information from multiple sources.
• Experience coordinating programs, projects, services, research/evaluation activities, or other complex professional activities.
• Experience working in university, education, nonprofit, disability, human services, or related settings.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in secondary or postsecondary settings.
• Experience applying information systems, digital resources, or educational technologies to improve program operations or resource accessibility.
• Ability to exercise professional judgment, work independently within assigned responsibilities, collaborate effectively with varied partners, manage multiple priorities and deadlines and travel independently to various locations throughout the State of Hawaii.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience designing or implementing marketing, outreach, or participant recruitment strategies in partnership with community organizations.
• Knowledge of inclusive postsecondary education, transition, employment, self-determination, or community inclusion.
• Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research or program evaluation.
• Experience developing or maintaining databases, information systems, resource collections, or knowledge-management systems.
• Experience coordinating nonprofit, community-based, educational, employment, or training programs.
• Experience preparing grant, federal/state, evaluation, or performance reports.
• Experience supporting summer training programs, technical assistance, professional development, or national partnership activities.
