A&P Mechanic located at Honolulu Airport

Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) is looking to hire one (1) A&P Licensed Mechanic (or soon to be licensed) with avionics/aviation experience to join our team. The role involves working on, replacing, and maintaining In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems on aircraft for major airlines worldwide. Hourly rates range from $32.83 to $43.59 based on experience, including geographical differential. Starting rates increase with experience.

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations on PAC IFE systems in compliance with FAA/CAA/EASA/CASA regulations, including troubleshooting, testing, removal, replacement, and modification of electronic assemblies and units.

• Aircraft/IFE Maintenance and Support
  • Conduct built-in and manual tests of IFE systems.
  • Troubleshoot electronic units, cabling, or seat consoles to identify failures.
  • Identify repairs, replace defective modules or cabling.
  • Operate vehicles on airport property and around aircraft.
  • Operate airline communication equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with customers.
• Administrative/Documentation
  • Document tests and repairs using computer and barcode systems.
  • Manage parts and inventory.
  • Assist in tracking spare parts inventory.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required:

• HS diploma or GED.
• Airframe & Powerplant License or equivalent.
• Ability to pass background and drug screening.
• Valid driver's license.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and graveyard shifts.
• Preferred but not required: 0-1 year mechanical/electrical technician experience, knowledge of electrical mechanics, 1+ years of IFE or avionics experience.
• Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and endure various weather conditions.
• Proficient in MS Office and excellent communication skills.
